Sweet Clover's Mayday arrived on the first of May at noon. He was up under his dam in 30 minutes and playing not long after.
He has grown very quickly and his dam started weaning him at 5 1/2 months and over 60 lbs.
He has a very dense, soft fleece packed onto a straight, stong frame. He is a sweet, friendly character. He is already planning to take over on herdsire row, thinking he was ready for orgling at 2 months old.
His dam, Petunia, is a rare dark silver grey girl with a classic tuxedo pattern on her face and torso, but dark grey fleece in good coverage down her legs. Her fleece has great handle and staple length. She has an interesting lineage that includes the notable grey peruvian import Peruvian Macusani.
His sire, Giavanni's Georgio, is a medium silver grey male who is big boned, has good conformation and wonderful coverage, carrying a nice dense and fine fleece with a long staple. He has a gentle disposition, easy to handle and gets along well with other males. His pedigree includes Danko as his damsire, and Peruvian Silverado, Peruvian Pluro, and Peruvian Black Magic on his sires side.
Mayday has gown to be a lovely and gentle male. He has dense, fine fleece, with long staple length packed onto a sturdy, erect and conformationally correct frame.
Mayday started his breeding career with jest and excitement in spring 2019.
Mayday had his first get arrive 14th May 2020. A beautiful true black boy, healthy and solid. I named him Sweet Clover's Sir Licorice.
